An evening with the Prince for a good cause

Under the honorary presidency of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Monaco Disease Power Association is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. A charity evening was held at Monaco Yacht Club and allowed more than €300,000 to be raised to support the families of children with physical disabilities or mental illness.

During this milestone birthday party, more than €300,000 was raised. This sum will be reinvested in the extension of “La Maison d’Amélie”, whose purpose is to offer stays of respite to children or adults suffering from mental or physical handicap or mental illnesses. By enlarging the house, the Monaco Disease Power team will double its capacity.

An auction was on tap, with a work by artist Robert Combas, OneTeas and Jean-François Bollié, but also, and especially, a watch offered by and having belonged to Prince Albert. The event also featured a mystery raffle, including a watch offered by Franck Muller, a trip to Mauritius with a stay at the Hotel Anahita and a cruise on one of Star Clippers’ splendid ships.

Among other distinguished guests were Elena Cuomo, President of the Cuomo Foundation, Elena Silvodaeva, patron of the association, Patrick Baudry, astronaut and sponsor of the association, and Professor Catherine Barthelemy.
