Erika Lemay, Creator of emotion and world acclaimed artist
Biography
Erika Lemay was born in Quebec, Canada. She began her extraordinary journey through the art of dance with her first ballet class, aged 4.
Aged 11, after a short career in conventional gymnastics, she found her passion as a performing circus artist, soon becoming the youngest and most prominent member of Cirque Eos.
Erika was 14 when she attended her first European performance at Belgium's international circus festival "La Piste aux Espoirs".
Her performance marked a stunning start to her international career, winning her the Public's Choice Award's, and the Gold Medal. Other tours with major international circuses were to follow - in Canada, the USA, Europe, Middle and South America.
Erika's wonderful family believed in her dreams and supported her throughout.
In 2003, Erika became a freelance artist, receiving awards from prestigious world-class festivals, including the Festival du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, Festival du Cirque de Demain in Paris, Planetary Carnival of Stage Direction in St.Peterburg, Festival de Cirque de Massy and Rome's Golden Circus Festival.
When she is not touring worldwide, Erika lives between Milan, Italy and Quebec, Canada where she continues to push her own boundaries, and those of "Nouveau Cirque", to create the amazing spectacles for which she is loved worldwide.

Erika is a creator of emotions. Through her limitless body, she has the power and sensibility to express a rich poetry. 5 different acts, each of them showing a special tint of her personality; contortionism takes a new dimension, aerial acrobatics become an inspiring dream, strength movements look like a fluent dance. Her very high acrobatic and artistic level as well as her charismatic presence on stage makes her today, one of the most requested Performing Artists around the world.

Vanity Fair Italy nominated Erika as the New Queen of Circus in an interview and photoshooting by Legendary Hollywood Icon Maker Douglas Kirkland who later portrayed her among few celebrities in his book for Woolrich.
